Papa, my dad
Beaucoup d'émotion pour ce billet, travaillé pour la première fois le portrait de mon père à partir d'une vieille photo de très mauvaise qualité. Il recevait son petit-fils de 3 ans à Madagascar, chez lui, un mois où il a été très heureux.
C'est cette image de papa à Nosy-bé que je voulais garder.
Worked on my dad's portrait for the first time, the photo is old and very bad quality. My dad had his 3 years grandson for holidays at home, in Madagascar: a month he was really happy i guess.

La surprise de maman, mom's surprise
Ma mère est passée à l'improviste la semaine dernière pour déjeuner, chose rarissime. Suite à cette visite, j'ai eu envie de faire une étude, de travailler son portrait: toujours élégante et coquette!
My mother came last week for lunch, it was a surprise: she needs to plan a long time earlier. After the lunch, i took a paper and wanted to work on her portrait: so smart and coquette!

Trio d'oeufs, eggs trio
Une envie de douceur avec le printemps qui arrive. Ce trio d'oeufs est plus lumineux que le précédent, le retour du soleil a une influence sur tout.
Wanted something really sweet, this painting is more luminous. Guess the sun and the spring arrival have to do with.

Peint cette nature morte dans le frais, alla prima; ne supporte vraiment plus aucun solvant ou médium.
Painted these eggs alla prima, can't stand anymore medium with solvent.

Tout peut s'arranger, always improving
Plusieurs tableaux en cours en ce moment, mais du mal à finaliser. Mon "fidèle" compagnon de route, la migraine, me joue des tours.
Repris la nature morte "un gout d'été", le fond me gênait, je l'ai donc adouci pour mieux mettre en valeur les fruits et passé des glacis sur les tomates et le citron.
Many paintings on progress but not finished. My "constant" companion, migraine is teasing me.
Worked on this still life done last year, the background was too saturated, so i decrease its intensity to focus on the fruits and i glazed again tomatoes and lemon.
